The NSC SafetyAtlas™ Safety Training Content Pathways provide a structured, role-based approach to developing the safety knowledge and competencies employees need throughout their careers. Rather than treating safety training as a series of independent courses, the pathways organize learning around industry hazards, job responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.

SafetyAtlas MVP Pathways

The three industry pathways for the SafetyAtlas MVP are Construction, Manufacturing, and Transportation. Future pathways on the platform post the MVP launch will include Professional Services, Government, Professional Development and potentially some sub-pathways such as Fleet, etc.

In addition to industry specific training, each pathway also includes training that all employees should be required to train on, such as CPR/First Aid/AED, workplace violence, fire safety, etc.

The specific courses on Safety Atlas for the MVP launch are offered by NSC, NSC Chapters (Nebraska and New York) and NSC commercial partners such as Sunbelt Rentals, Interplay Learning, trainPOINT, PureEHS and institutional partners like BCSP, AIHA, and AEM.

Adults learn in a variety of ways, therefore each pathway and Safety Atlas offers specific courses to be delivered in multiple modalities, such as in-person training, virtual instructor led training and e-Learning modules. This provides the company and the learner flexibility in taking the trainings.

Each pathway helps organizations answer two fundamental questions:

Who in specific roles needs training?
What training do they need?

Individuals responsible for overseeing safety, whether that's a Safety Director or Human Resource professional, can use these pathways in a number of ways:

Mapping regulatory and required training to specific job roles
